Representations of “family, society and country” in the newspaper O Exemplo (Porto Alegre, 1916-1930): the digital collection of Tainacan and of the Historical and Geographic Institute of Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

This article describes and analyzes the representations of instruction based on the triad of family, society, and country, as seen in the newspaper O Exemplo (1916-1930). The text is part of the field of the history of education, specifically the history of written culture, within the context of cultural history. The analysis shows instruction as an ultimate goal for the progress and improvement of the country.
