Resumen

The paper is about father Antonio Vieira's prophetic History of the Future, written between 1640-1660 and with several editions since the 18th Century. The Jesuit's prophesying allow us to think about the question of reading, as well as to discuss the reader's standpoint starting from the levels of submission to the text and of doubt in the act of reading.
