Author Biography
Full Professor at the Communication Department at the Faculty of Library and Communication at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, professor and researcher at the Postgraduate Program in Communication at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Director of the Faculty of Library and Communication at the University Federal of Rio Grande do Sul (2016-2020). He holds a doctorate in Communication Sciences from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (2003); master's degree in Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1997); specialist in Adult Education by FAAPA (1987); degree in Social Communication - Journalism and Graphic Editing, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1986); graduation in Social Communication - Public Relations, Advertising and Propaganda, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1982). He has experience in the area of Communication, acting mainly on the following themes: border communication, communication and culture, media and borders, communication and organizational culture and public communication, communication and socio-cultural practices. Ad Hoc Advisor to Capes and CNPq, she is a member of editorial boards and research groups. Coordinates Programs and Extension Projects such as the Communication and Citizen Service Project: Inclusion and Accessibility (Procac) developed since 2001, together with Decom / Fabico / UFRGS; and the Program in Day with Research linked to PPGCOM / UFRGS; she is vice coordinator of the Unbral Fronteiras Project: an open access portal for Brazilian universities on limits and borders since 2015.
