Address archival culture and its relationship with the sociocultural role of archives and the archivist as cultural mediator. There is a discussion about the archive as a space for mediations, the archivist-mediator and cultural mediation as structuring elements for the initiation into archival culture and the sensitization of users. It is concluded that archives and archivists play a central role in mediating the values, languages, policies, and objects of archival culture.
