The Centro de Arte Hélio Oiticica is the newest art center in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Inaugurated in September 1996, its purposes are to preserve and promote the work of the late Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica and to exhibit Brazilian and foreign artists that are of reference in the contemporary art world.
